I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine – the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition.
…while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn’t there?
Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.
How did this happen? Who’s to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
With only five months to go before it launches a new console in March 2017, Nintendo today finally started to share details about the highly anticipated system. Nintendo published a three-minute video that offered an overview of what people can expect from the platform, which will be called Nintendo Switch. As rumored, it is a console/handheld hybrid that uses cartridges.
Last week, I attended the Write the Docs conference in Portland and explored the surrounding area, so I did not have much time in front of a computer. I am thinking about my experience and will share some thoughts in the next issue of my monthly newsletter.
